1933 New York Yankees July 4th Ticket Stub - Babe Ruth Career Home Run #670 (PSA)
New York Yankees ticket stub, issued for a doubleheader against the Washington Senators on July 4, 1933, in which Babe Ruth hit his 670th career home run. PSA has encapsulated the ticket stub and certified it as "Authentic." Ruth's home run, a solo shot off Lefty Stewart in the bottom of the ninth inning, came in the second game of the twin bill, but it wasn't enough to prevent a Washington sweep. The Senators won the first game 6-5 and the second game 3-2. Ruth's home run was his 18th of the year and marked his only hit in the second game. Babe Ruth home run tickets have become a popular collectible in recent years and the offered stub is scarce. It is one of only four such examples listed in the PSA Population Report and the first we have ever handled. The ticket stub (1.5x2.5") displays a small piece of clear tape affixed along the top border and a few light creases.
