1933/34 OPC Series “A” Set with 20 PSA Graded

1933/34 OPC Series “A” Set with 20 PSA Graded

If it could ever be said that a player was bigger than the game, Howie Morenz would be it. “The Babe Ruth of Hockey” was a winner right from the start. Set is led by Howie Morenz, #23, professionally graded PSA 4 VG-EX. There have been only nine examples of Morenz graded by PSA. Other highlights include Eddie Shore’s rookie PSA 4, Conacher’s rookie PSA 4, Dit Clapper’s rookie PSA 7 (the highest example graded), Ace Bailey’s rookie PSA 7 (1 of 2 with none graded higher), one more PSA 7 #46, and one PSA 8 #16 (the highest graded example). Series “A” set is complete at 48 cards. Of those, 20 have been graded by PSA, just over 40% of the set. The balance of the PSA graded cards are: PSA 5- #4, 5 MC, 12 Primeau rookie, 18, 24 Howe rookie, and 35. PSA 4- #2, 7, 14, and 32. PSA 3- #1, 6 Stewart rookie, 9, and 10. PSA 1- #11. Ungraded highlights include #31 King Clancy (VG+), 39 Johnson rookie (VG-EX), Worters rookie (VG-EX), etc. Set is about 10% NRMT to NM-MT, 40% EX, and 50% VG to VG-EX. Extremely difficult to find in complete set form.
