This remarkable ball was signed at that historic game and features the signatures of Hubbell, all five of his strikeout victims, and seven other Hall of Famers, including Walter Johnson. The Official National League (Heydler) ball has been signed in black fountain pen by the following sixteen 1934 All-Star Game participants: Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig, Walter Johnson (American League coach), Jimmie Foxx, Carl Hubbell, Al Simmons, Joe Cronin, Gabby Hartnett, Frankie Frisch, Lefty Gomez, Charlie Gehringer, Red Ruffing, Dizzy Dean, Ed Rommel, Mel Harder, and Ben Chapman. Signatures range from 2/10 to 6/10, averaging 5/10. The ball is lightly soiled and displays several moderate abrasions, some of which affect a few of the signatures.
