1934 R103 Novelty Action Gum Pictures (12)
Here we have half the set of the rarely-seen pasteboards from R103 "Action Picture," produced by the Novelty Gum Company of Chicago in 1934. Also included in this collection is the extremely rare cellophane screenfoil (available only via redemption) which allowed the viewer to produce an action scene when moved over a card. The backs present a brief description of the picture illustrated on the front. This lot includes card #s 6 (VG-EX corners, 1” crease midcard, right center), 8 (EX-MT), 10 (VG; back a little dirty), 11 (EX-MT corners but vertical creases), 12 (EX+, 0.5” crease top right corner), 13 (EX-MT), 15 (VG-EX, crease top left corner), 16 (EX-MT; sharp card), 17 (EX, light crease), 18 (VG-EX), 21 (EX-MT) and 22 (EX+, oc). All cards except #22 are well-centered. Very nice quality for this seldom-seen set.
