1935 R36 Fleer ‘Cops & Robbers‚ Complete Set (35)
Presented is a complete set of 35 from the popular "Cops and Robbers" issue by Fleer in 1935. Was an instant favorite with collectors, as it was issued in the heart of the 1930s, when the adventures of real criminals such as Bonnie and Clyde and John Dillinger were covered in the daily newspapers. The set features portraits of 5 police officers and 30 criminals – all fictional characters. There are also six different background color variations for each subject. The back of each "Robbers" card features a detailed description of his crime and the "Cops" card has a multiple choice question related to which criminal that officer may be pursuing. Condition breakdown is 4 EX, 2 VG-EX, 13 VG-EX, 13 GD and 3 lesser. 3 have minor back damage and 1 has some paper loss on the front. From one of Fleer‚s earliest gum-card efforts. Total of 35 cards.
