Rarely offered complete 24-card set of 1935 R48-1 "Film Funnies" issued by Gum, Inc. The colorful artwork was designed with caricatures of popular movie stars of the 1930s, including W.C. Fields, James Cagney, Mae West, Jimmy Durante, Chico Marx, Laurel & Hardy, Joe E. Brown, Greta Garbo, Clark Gable, and Bing Crosby. Overall, the set presents very well, with 16 cards grading EX-MT to NM, 4 EX, 2 VG-EX, 2 GD-VG. An extremely attractive high-grade set of one of nonsport’s more popular issues. Total: 24 cards.
