1936-37 Heinz Famous Aviators and Airplanes Complete Sets (8 Premiums)
When the subject of mail-order premium pictures comes up, the Heinz "Famous Aviators" and "Famous Airplanes" premiums are generally considered to be the rarest of these types of prints. This particular lot is the only known complete set of all eight premiums issued - four (4) cards from the “Famous Aviator Pictures”(F277-4) series and four (4) cards from the “Famous Airplane Pictures” (F277-5) series. The prints, which measure 9x13.25" and feature beautiful full-color illustrations of famous aviators and airplanes, are larger versions of the issued cards and include wide borders to facilitate framing. The backs are blank. A complete set of twenty-five smaller cards could be redeemed for one premium, which accounts for the extreme rarity of these premiums today. Each premium displays minimally as Excellent, with vibrant colors and clean, off-white borders.If you wish to acquire a complete, original set of these prints – your time is NOW.
