1936 Seabiscuit Horseshoe Presentation Silver Ashtray

1936 Seabiscuit Horseshoe Presentation Silver Ashtray

Charles Howard not only knew cars, horses and more, he also knew how to give one heckuva gift. An example is this resplendent sterling silver ashtray with horseshoe of the immortal Seabiscuit encased within. Lovingly engraved "Seabiscuit, World's Fair Handicap 1-3-16 Miles - 1.55 4/5, Track Record, Bay Meadows, 12-12-36." Engraved "Sterling" on the back. This exact shoe is referenced and pictured in Laura Hillenbrand's memorable book, on pages 126 and 127. Includes display case.
