1936 Walter Johnson "Thank You" Letter to NL President Ford Frick (PSA)
Splendid handwritten letter from baseball legend Walter Johnson to NL President Ford Frick thanking him for a pass, which we assume to be a season pass. The letter was penned from Germantown, MD, on April 3, 1936, just two months after Johnson was elected to the "first five" inaugural class of the Baseball Hall of Fame and less than a year after he left the game entirely. The letter reads, "Dear Mr. Frick, Many thanks for the pass. I appreciate getting it very much. Sincerely, Walter Johnson," with Johnson's signature rating 8/10. A Perez Steele card of Johnson is included with it, and the pair has been framed to 12x18". The Big Train remains the Major League leader in career shutouts and sits second in career wins. Comes with PSA LOA.
