1937 Rube Walberg 154th Career Game Win Ball w/ Family LOA
George "Rube" Walberg was a pitcher for the NY Giants, Philadelphia A's and Boston Red Sox from 1923-1937. He played in three World Series (1929, 1930, 1931) for the Philadelphia A's. The 1929 Connie Mack managed team is widely considered one of the best baseball teams of all time. This OAL (Harridge) ball is the last one used in a game on July 10, 1937; a game won by Walberg and the Red Sox, 12-11, over his former team the Athletics. Walberg marked the ball with the date and score along with both "batteries" involved in the game. This was his 154th career pitching victory. Comes with LOA signed by Walberg's daughter Nancy Davidson.
