1938 All-Star Game Press Pin
Widely considered to be the first and rarest of all the All-Star pins, this one from the sixth midsummer classic is a thing of beauty, as it is in NRMT condition but for one very small imperfection on the left-hand side of the "C." The celluloid pin-back button features the original Bastian Brothers paper label on the back. Played at Cincinnati's Crosley Field, the National League knocked off the Junior Circuit, 4-1, behind the stellar pitching of hometown hero, Johnny Vander Meer, and the clutch hitting of Ernie Lombardi.
