1938 Cincinnati Reds Team Signed Book with Willard Hershberger
The more things change.... This 1938 book is entitled "Major League Baseball" by Ethan Allen and is signed by the Reds team and Allen, a total of 24 signatures in 8/10 fountain ink on the inside front cover and first page. A definitive "how-to" guide of the time, this 253-page tome includes tips on playing and managing America's Pastime, and features photos of players of the era. The bold autographs include Hershberger, Derringer, Berger, Lombardi, Al Simmons, McCormick, Vince DiMaggio, Goodman, Craft and more, and is also signed by some execs including Ford Frick. The book is in VG condition and has some discoloration at the binding that only adds to its character.
