1938 Gum, Inc. Horrors of War "Hitler Poster" Poster
Historic and prescient "More Horrors of War," Second Series poster shows the leaders of the that are featured in the set including the demonic Adolph Hitler (8x14"). He is joined by his henchman Mussolini, Daladier of France who was jailed by the Vichy for treason and Chamberlain who let Hitler get away with it. It is ironic that none of them, whether Axis or Allied has clean hands. Produced by Gum Inc. (later becoming Bowman), the set includes three cards of the brute Hitler, which this poster is far rarer than. Originating from the Fleer Archive (used by the firm to keep track of what the "card" competition was doing, is the only one known. One of the most prized non-sports sets ever produced. Poster is in excellent condition.
