Superb display piece in this 1938 Seabiscuit defeating War Admiral oversized photograph, signed by Seabiscuit's jockey George Woolf. Black fountain pen inscription by Woolf reads, "Boy did I have fun this day! I'm wishing you both this kind of luck, my very bestest friends Jerry & Ted." Nicely framed, the 14x11" montage photo measures to 16.75x15", with the following on the bottom of the matte: "Sea Biscuit" (G. Woolf up) defeating War Admiral (C. Kurtsinger up) PimlicoSpecial - Match Race of the Champions. Pimlico Nov. 1, 1938. 1 3/16 miles - 1:56 3/5 (new track record). C.S. Howard - Owner. T. Smith - Trainer.
