1939-40 Satchell Paige Signed Player's Contract
Official Puerto Rican League player's contract presented to Satchel Paige to guarantee his employment with the Guayama team for the 1939/40 season. The contract is signed "Leroy Satchell Paige" in bold black ink in the proper place. Dated Oct 27, 1939. Some small edge tears, 1'' tear on the center fold of the cover and a few minor age spots. None of which affects the mint signature. An amazing piece dating from the time when Paige was really in his prime.
