1939 High Grade "Gallant Fox" Pfeiffer's Beer Tin Sign
This is the mate to the matching War Admiral sign we had in the last auction and from the same collection, it salutes Gallant Fox, another iconic horse who was also the second Triple Crown winner in history. An exceptional piece because of the condition and graphics, which in the end are once again simply awe inspiring. Full color lithography on tin backed with cardboard, artist signed at bottom right, "T. Ivestr__." Entitled "Another Winner Pfeiffer's Beer," the sign is in high grade EX-MT condition, and measures 14x18"; the only one of this horse we have seen.
