Tremendous group of three cream colored Spalding Official National League Frick baseballs, each team signed by an early 1940s All-Star team. The first ball is signed in green ink by 18 members of the 1940 American League squad, although “1943” is written in ballpoint on the sweet spot. Signatures include Red Ruffing, Ted Williams, Bob Feller, Luke Appling, Joe DiMaggio, Joe Cronin, Bill Dickey and others. Signatures average a grade of 8. The second ball is signed in green, blue and black ink by 20 members of the 1940 National League squad. Signatures include Mel Ott, Casey Stengel, Joe Medwick, Kirby Higbe, Carl Hubbell, Harry Danning, Leo Durocher, Johnny Mize and others. Signatures grade from 3 to 8. The third ball is signed in black ink by 29 members of the 1942 National League squad, including Mel Ott, Frankie Frisch, Johnny Mize, Ernie Lombardi, Bill McKechnie, Pee Wee Reese, Leo Durocher, Enos Slaughter and others. Signatures grade from 6 to 8 with the Ott being a near 9. “1942” written on the Spalding logo. A few possible clubhouses throughout.
