1940's Bob Johnson Game Used Glove
Game used glove from one of the few Native American players. This glove came from the historic Harry Evans collection (via Joel Platt) who was one of the true pioneers in baseball memorabilia collecting and obtained thousands of great pieces directly from the players that he shadowed in his travels. This lovely Bob Johnson model in nice supple condition and in original brown leather. Missing the cloth patch o/w EX with nice game use. “Indian Bob” was Al Simmons' left field replacement on the Philadelphia A’s. A regular for a decade, Johnson hit .307 and for seven straight seasons he drove in over 100 runs.
