1940's Mickey Owen Autographed Game Used Mitt

1940's Mickey Owen Autographed Game Used Mitt

The vintage leather that once protected the hand of backstop, Mickey Owen -- a great catcher whose baseball career is often summed up in one play, a passed ball during the 1941 World Series. The glove shows great use and wear, completely intact with no visible labels, or brands, except for "Nu Grip Streamlined" on the outside of the thumb. An historic inscription in silver sharpie has been along the outer ridge of the inside: "This was my mitt I gave John Orlando, [signed] Mickey Owen." Owen's facsimile signature is also branded into the heel of the inside part.
