1940s Pittbsurgh Pirates Stanford Pottery Bank

1940s Pittbsurgh Pirates Stanford Pottery Bank

Stunning, nearly pristine Pittsburgh Pirate Stanford Pottery Bank from the late '40s is a classic of hand-molded and hand-painted craftsmanship. The ceramic Stanford Pottery baseball team banks are highly sought-after today, and you will never find a better one. The figurine of the team's "pirate" mascot has a uniform reading "Pirates" in red across the chest. The detail on the face includes a green blindfold, black mustache, red kerchief -- even a gold tooth! Figurine stands 7" on a white base with the Stanford stamping on the underside. NRMT w/minor restoration. Paint nearly 100%, as is the nostalgia quotient.
