A syndicated newspaper comic dating to the World War II era, The Spirit remains a popular collectible. This extensive selection of 135 issues dates from 1940-1949 and includes killer artwork by the great Will Eisner, who created and maintained the series from 1940-52. Distributed in the Sunday editions of Register and Tribune Syndicate newspapers, the series was immensely popular, with circulation as high a five million copies. Rarely do you see lots of this size all from one collector. Overall Fine condition with some rating as high as NM.
