1941-42 Rittgers Sports Sets (10 figures)
A wonderful group of 10 hand painted clay sculptures, copyrighted by Lafayette Las Rittgers of Chicago, Illinois in 1941-42. Each one is cast, “L.L. Rittgers” with the year on its foot. Set includes: Baseball (3 - umpire, batter, & fielder), Boxing (2), Football (2), and Bowling (3 - one is female bowler). Each one with comical expression and position. Overall EX-MT, and paint is marvelous with no chipping.
