The big hoopla in '41 was in the AL, but Ted and Joe D. had nothing on the big 'uns of the senior circuit who signed this historic Reach Official League ball at the All-Star Game in Detroit (though the Splinter did have the last word, with his bottom-of-the-9th gamer). 30 signatures in all including Ott, Hubbell, Slaughter, Mize, Durocher, McKechnie, Medwick Vaughan -- HOFers all -- Owen, Reiser, Hack, Nicholson, Lavagetto, Moore, Frey, Derringer, Wyatt, Williams' victim Claude Passeau, etc. Sigs are a tad light and average 6 while the ball is VG-EX with some areas of mild staining.
