1942 Herb Pennock Signed Bank Check Made Out to Tom Yawkey (PSA)

1942 Herb Pennock Signed Bank Check Made Out to Tom Yawkey (PSA)

Herb Pennock was regarded as one of the greatest left-handed pitchers in baseball history and worked his magic for the Athletics, Red Sox and the great Yankees teams of the 1920s and early 1930s. Connie Mack later called his sale of Pennock to the Red Sox his greatest mistake. Pennock unfortunately died young of a cerebral hemorrhage in 1948; he was posthumously inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame later that year. Outstanding National Band and Trust Company check from Herb Pennock made out to Tom Yawkey for $50.00 dated July 29, 1942, and signed by both. Encapsulated PSA Authentic Auto.
