1943 Chicago Bears Advertising Poster picturing players
Great poster from the NFL's lean and hungry years and the Bears' glory days. En route to their 2nd of 4 titles in the '40s, the team posted this ad for 5 upcoming 1943 home games at Wrigley Field with an array of star players' faces -- including QB Sid Luckman, FB Bill Osmanski, FB Gary Famiglietti, and most intriguingly of all, Bronko Nagurski, who came out of a 5-year retirement to play tackle, but returned to FB in a key win over the Cards. The 13 x 21" poster is red with the players' mugs in b&w and drawn stars all around, with the top reading "Football Thrills By These Chicago Bears". Poster is NRMT and mounted within a black matted background in a 19 x 27" frame.
