1944 Connie Mack Handwritten Letter (PSA)

1944 Connie Mack Handwritten Letter (PSA)

Currently in an era with a high rate of managerial turnover, Connie Mack is truly a relic from the past. Mack has managed more games, won more games, and lost more games than any manager in history, and it's not even close. Though it's unfathomable today, he spent 50 years at the helm of the Philadelphia Athletics despite enduring 17 last-place finishes. This letter from Mack dates 2/29/44, a time when America was in the heart of the second World War. Both the letter and address are in his handwriting, and he writes about Spring Training, losing players to the war, and the weather. It is addressed to Anthony J. Asmus. Includes PSA LOA.
