1944 Detroit Tigers Signed War Bond Receipts (33)

During the World War II era, Briggs Stadium served as home of the Detroit Tigers, with a huge ad promoting War Bonds near the center field scoreboard. These bonds were actually issued to Tigers players, dated November 15, 1944, and each is signed by a team member acknowledging receipt of a war bond gifted to them by the Tigers. These receipts are mostly in EX condition with slight mailing folds at centers, and signatures average 8/10. Signatures include: Higgins, Rudolph Preston York, Beck, Swift, Trout, Outlaw, Richards, O'Neil, Cramer, Hoover, Mayo, and more.
