1944 NY Yankee War Era Baseball
During the final months of World War II, 27 members of the New York Yankees signed this Reach Little League baseball, including Hall of Fame manager Joe McCarthy. Other notable names here are Nick Etten, who led the 1944 club with 22 homers and John Lindell, who had a team-best 103 RBI and paced the American League with 16 triples. The black ink signatures average about 7/10, with some faded and others much stronger.
