1946 Nellie Fox Handwritten 2-page Letter
Fantastic handwritten letter in the hand of one of the greatest second baseman of all time, Nellie Fox. Dated June 20, 1946, letter is addressed to his then girlfriend, Joanne Statler. This is the woman to whom he would become engaged the following Christmas and married to in 1948. With affectionate tone, (it is obvious he is still courting her), Nellie Fox expresses his desire to see her and makes other small talk, referring to her as “Darling”. Signed, “All My Love, Nellie.” Black fountain pen is Excellent and only slightly faded. Paper is EX. Each page measures 5x7”, and slightly toned. Comes with original mailing envelope also filled out in his hand (EX).
