1947 Bill Klem Handwritten Reply to Player Inquiry (PSA)
Interesting content in this reply to a ball player querying the legendary umpire. In it, the writer asks Klem about crouching in the batters box and if it should alter the strike zone. Klem's reply on verso in dark, black ink, is probably an expected one. "Your query is entirely up to the good judgement of the umpire and if in his judgement you purposely crouched, he must judge the pitch from what he knows to be your natural stance. Sincerely, B. Klem Chief of Staff N.L. Umpire's." A great exchange about the rules of the game on one page (front and back) lined paper. Binder holes on left side does not effect the handwriting. "Over" at the top of the first page appears in Klem's hand. Comes certified by PSA.
