1947 Jackie Robinson "The First" Plaque with Photograph
Important plaque presented to Jackie by his teammates on his Jackie Robinson Day at Ebbets Field in 1947. Their first ever tribute to him, it declares in plated brass, "To Jackie Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers Who Was the First and Who Through His Efforts Will Never Be The Last." On luxurious rosewood plaque (8"). Comes with framed photograph of Jackie with son Jackie Junior and wife Rachel right after his 1957 retirement. They are in their trophy room and this plaque has a place of honor in a key place on his trophy wall. EX-MT. Of all the awards presented to Jackie this was the only one with content of being "The First." LOA from Rachel Robinson.
