1947 New York Giants Team Signed Baseball with Mel Ott
This official National League (Frick) baseball is unused and consistently toned to a cream color. Twenty-four signatures adorn the rawhide in black ink and have an overall rating of 8/10. Included are player-manager Mel Ott, Bill Rigney, Sid Gordon, Johnny Mize, Ernie Lombardi, Bobby Thomson, Whitey Lockman, Willard Marshall, Walker Cooper, and more. Though they only finished in fourth place that season, the list of greats on that team, as well as the overall appearance of the ball, distinguish this lot.
