1947 Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Signed Baseball w/Honus Wagner, Bing Crosby & Hank Greenberg (JSA)
Official National League (Frick) ball signed in black fountain pen by the following eleven members of the 1947 Pittsburgh Pirates: Honus Wagner (coach), Billy Herman (Mgr., sweet spot), Hank Greenberg (sweet spot), Ralph Kiner, Bing Crosby (minority team owner), Preacher Roe, Rip Sewell, Billy Cox, Elbie Fletcher (coach), Bill Burwell (coach), and Zack Taylor (coach). The Wagner signature grades 6/10, while the remaining signatures range from 3/10 to 6/10, averaging 5/10. 1947 was Hank Greenberg's only season with Pittsburgh and also his final season in the Major Leagues. Honus Wagner was a coach with the Pirates from 1933 to 1951. Famed singer/actor Bing Crosby obtained a 1% ownership stake in the Pirates in 1946, but his name is seldom found on team-signed balls, making this a unique and highly desirable example. The ball displays light soiling and minor abrasions throughout. In Very Good to Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from JSA.
