1948 Citation Triple Crown Hand Carved Statue
This is a handsome, excellent quality hand carved statue, with a very good likeness to the eighth American Triple Crown winner, Citation, one of only three major North American Thoroughbreds to win at least 16 consecutive races in major stakes events. Carved from the finest wood, possibly mahogany, and executed in the 1960s with a wonderful brass plaque which reads, "Citation" Triple Crown, 1948." There is burgundy felt on the bottom, it measures 10.25" high and the base is 9.75" long. In EX-MT condition.
