1948 London Summer Olympics Gold Medal
Go for the Gold as this is one of only 300 such medals awarded during the 1948 Summer Olympics. Athletes feted with Laurel wreaths and palm branches are featured on both sides of this coin, which measures 2" in diameter and includes the following engraving: "XIVth OLYMPIAD LONDON 1948." There is some minor wear on the reverse, which results in the underlying silver showing. This was obtained from one of the world's top Olympic collectors.
