1948 New York Giants & Philadelphia Phillies Signed Baseball w/Mel Ott (PSA)
Official National League (Frick) ball signed in blue ink by members of both the 1948 New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. A total of twenty-seven signatures appear on the ball, including those of Mel Ott, Johnny Mize, Bill Rigney, Schoolboy Rowe, Harry Walker, Oscar Judd, Bert Haas, Bama Rowell, Eddie Miller, Don Padgett, Andy Seminick, Ken Heintzelman, Johnny Blatnick, Emil Verban (sweet spot), Granny Hamner (sweet spot), Del Ennis, Blix Donnelly, Dutch Leonard, Bill Rigney, and Jack Albright. (The signature of Richie Ashburn has been deemed a clubhouse example by PSA). There is a personalization to "John Kelly" on the ball label. The signatures are all boldly scripted, averaging 8/10. The ball appears to be coated with a very light layer of protective shellac and is otherwise in Near Mint condition. Full LOA from PSA.
