1948 World Series Game 6 Full Ticket PSA GD 2
Presented is a full ticket to Game 6 of the 1948 World Series at Braves Field between the home team Boston Braves and the visiting Cleveland Indians. Hall of Famer Bob Lemon started for Cleveland, and he picked up the win, and Bill Voiselle started for the Braves and took the loss. The Indians scored the team's fourth run in the top of the eighth inning on a double by Hall of Fame player/manager Lou Boudreau off Hall of Fame left-hander Famer Warren Spahn, in the game in relief. Despite two Braves' runs in the bottom of the eighth, Cleveland held on for the win and took the World Series, the Indians second World Series Championship. The full ticket measures approx. 2.25x7.5". The ticket cost $6.00 for a grandstand seat. After the 1953 season, the Braves moved to Milwaukee, and after 13 years there, the Braves moved to Atlanta. The ticket has been encapsulated and graded, with a PSA grade of Good 2.
