1949 Billy Cox Game Worn Brooklyn Dodgers Jersey
The standard by which all future New York third baggers would be measured, Billy Cox donned this white "home" flannel during only his second of seven stellar seasons in Brooklyn. "Dodgers" is stitched across the front in blue felt, as is his "3" on the back (the number had come loose from the jersey at the very but was resewn at a later date). Inside the collar is "Rawlings", [size] "40", and dry clean tags and the tail is chain-stitched "Cox 49" in blue thread. 100% completely original and unchanged from the countless days it took the field with Cox over at Ebbets. A fantastic piece that is in even better condition.
