1949 Mike McCormick Brooklyn Dodgers Game Worn Uniform (made for Arky Vaughan)
This is outfielder Mike McCormick's complete home jersey and pants from his only season in Brooklyn - 1949. The ensemble features the signature Dodgers in blue felt across the front, Rawlings size 44 tagging in the collar and "Vaughn 49" chain stitched on the front tail. Number 7 is in blue felt on the back of the jersey, although it appears a number "9" was initially on the back. Arky Vaughn had worn #9 in 1948 for the Dodgers, and as evidenced by the name on the front tail, the team expected him to return in 1949. When he did not, the uniform was changed to number 7 and was assigned to McCormick. Matching pants have Rawlings size 38 tagging and number "7" written in black in the waist band. There's fine use here with mild toning.
