1949 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball from Jackie Robinson Estate

1949 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball from Jackie Robinson Estate

It was the first All-Star game to include black players, and this is the ball Jackie himself took home from Ebbets Field follow-ing his Nationals' eleven to seven loss to Joe DiMaggio's Americans. ONL (Frick) ball features sixteen signatures from Jackie's teammates, including Campy, Spahn, Schoendienst, Kiner and Musial. Signatures average VG-EX, with all listed easily legi-ble and only a couple that are not. Robinson's signature is absent, which is unsurprising as it was his personal ball. LOA from Jackie's widow Rachel.
