1949 NL All-Stars Signed Baseball

1949 NL All-Stars Signed Baseball

This history-drenched ONL (Frick) ball signed by 19 members of the 1949 NL All-Star squad sheds light on the little-known fact that blacks weren't chosen for a Midsummer Classic for 2 years after Robinson broke the color line! Jackie, Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe were the pioneers, and the 1st two are on the ball along with other HOFers Musial, Slaughter, Spahn, Schoendienst, Kiner, Mize, as well as Blackwell, Cooper, Pollet, Thomson, Branca, Bickford, etc. Sigs average 6-7, the ball is EX with an even light brown toning.
