1950's Stan Mikita Rookie Era Game Used Northland Stick

1950's Stan Mikita Rookie Era Game Used Northland Stick

A memento from the very beginning of Stan Mikita's journey into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Vintage two-striped straight blade Northland Pro marked "Lippman's Tool Shop, Detroit Michigan." This predates sticks supplied to the Hawks by Olympic Sporting Goods during the 1960-61 season. Obviously, this gamer is from the late 1950's and was no doubt used by Stan during his first or possibly second season in the NHL. "Mikita" and "21" have been written on the stick in marker. The knob is done in vintage discolored white over black tape and the blade tape has long since been removed leaving striped residue. This club shows great use but exhibits no significant signs of damage.
