1950-51 Ted Kennedy Game Worn Toronto Maple Leafs Jersey
Spectacular 1950-51 Toronto Maple Leafs sweater was worn by one of the most inspirational players to ever take the ice. “Teeder” helped the Toronto Maple Leafs to 5 Stanley Cup championships between 1945-55. But the man who once bled Maple Leaf blue & white would build one of the greatest dynasties in NHL history with the Montreal Canadiens. Blue wool jersey with a large white felt Maple Leaf on the front with “Toronto Maple Leafs” in blue felt lettering. The crest shows actual blood. Captain’s “C” is sewn onto the front left shoulder. Verso bears his number, “9”. Tagging on inside front right side of tail is “Doug Laurie Sports - Maple Leaf Gardens” with a “Tease Knit” flag tag along the right seam. Tell tale signs of greatness in the form of multiple team repairs and some holes from being used repeatedly, but completely intact and in beautiful display condition. A rare vintage example from this once storied franchise. The jersey includes photo documentation of Teeder wearing the jersey next to Conn Smythe and Max Bently.
