1950s-80s Sizable Publication Collection with Multiple Williams & Mantle Covers (130+)
Offered is a mostly Boston sports team based publication heavy on duplication, but that’s really not too bad since the covers are manned by players such as Ted Williams, Bobby Orr, Larry Bird, Tony Conigliaro and even a dozen magazines featuring Mickey Mantle! For example, there are six examples of the ultra-popular (and good seller) 1955 Sports Illustrated issue dated August 1 with Williams on the cover. There is even a nice run of Boston Red Sox yearbooks and a handful of World Series programs including one from each venue of the 1967 Fall Classic. The publications are all in pretty good condition, averaging EX with some lesser. Many do have mailing labels and those will be noted below with an (ML) designation. This is the perfect lot for the pub dealer (especially those located in Boston), as the vast majority feature Hall of Famers on the covers.
