1950s Arlington Park Programs (12)
Offered are twelve rare programs, all from the 1950s, from this now-closed race course. All except the 1959 Washington Park Futurity (no writing) have writing and include the following: A). 1953 - July 16. B-2). 1954 - July 13, & July 28 (Matron). C). 1955 - June 29. 1956 - July 18 (Equipoise Mile). E-2). 1957 -July 13 (Arlington Classic won by Clem over Ky. Derby winner Iron Liege), and July 17 (Equipoise Mile). F). 1958 - August 20 (Matron). G-4). 1959-August 6 (Hillsborough), August 12, August 26, and September 5 (Washington Park Futurity). The last program, besides being clean of writing, saw Venetian Way rally in the stretch to just beat Bally Ache. The former won the Kentucky Derby the following year with Bally Ache taking the Preakness. Both horses bad different jockeys in those future classics.
