Over a 25-year career in the NHL, Fleming MacKell became one of the unsung heroes of hockey. He first won two Stanley Cups for the Toronto Maple Leafs and then went on to become one of the Boston Bruins all-time greats. Stunning 1950s Boston Bruins #8 sweater is one of the finer specimens in the hobby. Tagged "Jim McCarthy", it has size "46" tags on inside tail. Simply, tremendous use with an incredible 38 (!) team repairs. Other use marks include red and black slash marks on the front and on the right sleeve. The captain's "A" patch on left breast has been removed with yellow stitching remnants but could be easily restored. There are two holes on front and holes on sleeves. Stain on back lower right with handful of small holes. But overall a beautiful early specimen that have become as rare as hen's teeth and infinitely more desirable. They don't make 'em like they used to: both Fleming MacKell AND this jersey of his.
