1950’s Henri Richard Montreal Canadiens Game Worn Wool Sweater
The diminutive Pocket Rocket, at 5'7" and 160 pounds, defied all critics who claimed he was too small to prosper in the NHL by winning 11 Stanley Cups during a career spanning 20 years! Henri Richard won the Stanley Cup in each of his first 5 seasons with Montreal and remains the all-time team leader in games played. Creamy white wool sweater worn by Hall-of-Famer Henri “The Pocket Rocket” Richard during the Habs Dynasty of the late 1950’s. Heavy wool uniform with the three layer tackle twill Canadiens crest and alternate captain’s “A” on the chest. Two-tone tackle twill numbers appear on the sleeves and verso. Attractive tie-neck style with original lace and some color bleeding around the collar. Nice wear and game use throughout with heavy pilling and two stitched team repairs on the tail.
