1950s Phil Masi Major League Baseball Silver Lifetime Pass
Lifetime silver pass issued to former catcher Phil Masi upon his retirement from Major League Baseball. This piece originates from Masi's personal collection and has been consigned by a family member. The pass, which features both raised-relief and engraved lettering, reads in part "The Major Leagues of Professional Baseball Present This Lifetime Pass to Phil Masi In Appreciation of Long And Meritorious Service." The facsimile signatures of both National League President Ford Frick and American League President Will Harridge appear along the base. The pass (2.75x1.75") is heavily tarnished with a few light scratches on the reverse. It is housed in its original leather sleeve and accompanied by its original presentation card (slightly trimmed).
