1950’s Providence Reds Game Worn Wool Sweater
Fabulous Fifties wool sweater from the Providence Reds of the American Hockey League. Cream in color with red and black trim and tackle twill “REDS” cascading down the front. The embroidered felt “flying rooster” crest has been removed but a vintage replacement has been located and is included with the lot, should you decide to restore it to its original splendor. Single color numbers on the back and sleeves. Heavy wear and washing, evidenced by the amount exterior pilling with more than a few woolen team repairs. Label from “W.A. Henry, Providence R.I.” stitched into the back hem with a size 48 tag in the neck. Old time hockey!
