Early to the table for hockey sports cards, Parkhurst started its production for the Canadian market in 1951. Here we offer near and partial sets from issues dating 1953-54, '54-55, '55-56, '57-58, '58-59 and '59-60. The details follow: 1) 1953-54: 25 of 100, including #24 Richard (GD-VG), 50 Howe (GD-VG) and Sawchuk (VG, crease). Overall, 3 are EX or better, 15 VG to VG-EX, 7 lesser. 2) 1954-55: 60 of 100, including #7 Richard (EX-MT, o/c) and 65 Bowers RC (EX-MT). 9 are EX-MT or better, 23 VG-EX to EX, 20 VG, 8 lesser. 3) 1955-56: 37 of 79, including #37 Richard (VG, crease). 4 are EX+ or better, 17 VG-EX to EX, 8 VG and 8 slightly lesser. 4) 1957-58: 10 of 50. 3 are VG-EX, 3 VG and 4 GD-VG. 5) 1958-59: 23 of 50, including #33 Mahovlich (EX-MT) and 34 Beliveau (VG-EX+). 6 are EX+ or better, 11 VG-EX to EX, 6 slightly lesser. 6) 1959-60: 48 of 50, missing only 2 commons (#43, 49) for completion.
